How to perform the test

General steps for performing a malaria rapid diagnostic test (RDT) are outlined below. You should always consult the specific instructions included with your Peercheck kit, as procedures can vary slightly by manufacturer.

Preparation: Gather all components from the kit, including the cassette, lancet, and buffer. Ensure all materials are at room temperature and check the expiration date.

Positive for mixed infection	Three colored lines appear: one at thecontrol line("C"), one at the"P.f."test line, and one at the"P.v."test line.
Invalid	Thecontrol line("C") does not appear. This can indicate an error in the test procedure or a faulty kit. The test must be repeated.
